Judith's Molasses Cookies
This recipe makes many, many cookies.
1 and 1/2c butter
2c white sugar + 1/4c white sugar for rolling
2 eggs
1/2c molasses
4c white flour
2tsp baking soda
2tsp cinnamon
1tsp allspice
1tsp ginger
1/2 tsp salt
Preheat oven to 350.
Melt butter in a small saucepan. Set aside to cool but do not allow to solidify.
In a large bowl, beat together 2c sugar, eggs and molasses.
Sift together flour, soda, cinnamon, allspice, ginger and salt.
Combine melted butter with molasses mixture. Beat in flour mixture until smooth.
Pour remaining 1/4c white sugar into small bowl.
Shape cookies into 2.5cm balls. Place cookie balls in bowl of white sugar, one at a time, until coated. Place on cookie sheet. Flatten with a fork, twice.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until brown. Bake them longer if you like them HARD and for less time if you like them soft and chewy.

Megan's hot pants potatoes
The best fucking potatoes you will ever eat.
1. boil up yer taters (5 lbs will do ya)
2. mash'em up with some cream cheese (enough that you start to think, 'is this too much')
3. add some of that there sour cream
4. add yerself some butter
5. now, this is where we leave the country bumpkin behind and you can add your own personal flare - you could add caramelized onions or raw chopped onions (always tasty) - you could also add an egg. The egg will add a lightness to the potatoes, but will not go too far to making them souffle-like, so you can use your judgement. If you use the egg (which I sometimes do), mix it up with a little of the mashed potato mixture before adding it to the whole bowl. You can also add some grated cheese here too if you want! something mild or something sharp - depending on your brood ... back to bumpkin ...
6. season at yer leisure with salt and the pepper
7. transfer the whole dang mixture to a casserole dish that has been buttered up real nice like ...
8. add some dollops of butter to the top them there mixed up taters
9. bake at 350 degrees for some amount of time ... maybe 30 mins maybe 45, maybe even an hour. You want the butter to melt into the potatoes and for the top to be a golden brown, like the colour of a bronzed buttocks. If you used the egg, you will want a puffiness too.
Well, that is all I can think of! Enjoy! Stuff them in your face and down your pants!
